You have grown so much this past month that I can't believe it! You are quickly making the transition from baby to little girl and I both love it and hate it at the same time. I can't believe that one month from now we will be celebrating your first birthday. It seems like just yesterday that you were still inside my tummy.
You are always so happy when we go to get you out of bed!
You have had many firsts lately - first time in a swimming pool, first 4-wheeler ride (around our back yard), first time to spend the night without mommy, and plenty of others.
You are now talking up a storm, we have just yet to learn this so called "language" that you speak. The words that you say that we have picked up on are Mama, Dada, Giddy Giddy (kitty kitty), hey, by-bye, and thank you. You also have developed quite the love for music, particularly for dancing to music. I have been playing Disney songs for you on Pandora and you love them. You clap and dance to them, and so far your favorite is Hakuna Matata from The Lion King (in fact, you love most songs from The Lion King with Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid tying for a close second place). You also love your Bible Sing Alongs that I downloaded from Itunes for you. You really like the songs that have hand motions/actions with them and will just laugh when mommy does them. You love to sit in your highchair and watch mommy do Father Abraham - complete with motions, of course.

You are not walking yet, but you pull up on everything and walk when holding onto furniture or someone's hands. You no longer think that there is anywhere that is off limits in our house - according to you the entire house is meant for you to explore every nook and cranny. You happily spend hours crawling around looking for things to get into with someone chasing after you. You also know that there are certain things that you shouldn't do, but you enjoy testing us. For example, you know that you are not allowed to play in the fireplace but you will crawl over to it and look back. When we say "No, Taylor" you will giggle and move a little closer. This repeats until we finally come pick you up and move you - all the while you giggling and so pleased with yourself.

You are wearing 12 month size clothes and still in size 2 shoes. We did move you up to size 4 diapers this month. You have also started wearing "big girl pajamas". No longer do you wear the sweet night gowns and footie pajamas, you have moved on to the 2 piece sets of shorts/pants and shirts. You look like such a big girl when you have them on. You also don't use the infant tub anymore (you had been using it but it was in the big bathtub). We finally went ahead and put you straight in the big bathtub and you love it. You like to catch the water as it comes out of the faucet and you crawl and climb all over the tub during bathtime. Your bathtime is also taking much longer now as you require a certain amount of playtime rather than just some splashing around and bathing.
You have really expanded your eating this month too. You are all about feeding yourself. A few of the new things you have had recently are cheese (which you loved), bread, beef, and some others that I can't remember. I have been trying to start feeding you more of what we are having for dinner when it is appropriate and you seem to be responding well to this. You are down to about 3 bottles a day now. You still don't hold your bottle very often. You are perfectly capable of this because I have seen you do it with my own eyes, but I don't think you see the need to assist in this task when you have people that will do it for you. We have also been introducing the sippy cup to you and somedays you will drink out of it and others you want nothing to do with it.

The past few days we have had several of the ladies at church come up to us and tell us how sweet you are during church. They say that you enjoy your class and participate in the songs and lesson. This makes us so happy to hear and we just love the fact that you are not only getting familiar with church but are enjoying it and learning. We have also been having Vacation Bible School this week. While you were not technically old enough to participate you did go everyday and hang out in the Kangaroo Room (Nursery). Boy did VBS wear you out each day - we had to wake up early each day because Mommy had to be there at 8:15 and you missed your morning nap. All of this together meant that you would fall asleep on the way home from VBS, Mommy would carry you in and put you in your crib and you would sleep until about 5:00! Hopefully we will be able to get our regular schedule back now that VBS is over, but we sure did have a good time!
